This study programme is suitable for those who have completed a higher profiling education (business, economics or a similar field) and whose bachelor’s studies have lasted at least 4 years. Upon completion of this master’s programme, a student develops the following skills: organisational management, financial resource management, analytical and strategic thinking, human resource management, etc. Development of the student’s personality and business communication skills receives special emphasis, given that these are the two things employers identify as most important in a business environment.

Full-time studies in the form of lectures take place in Latvian in the main building of Թ, at 3 Meža Street, while distance learning studies take place remotely in English in the e-learning environment. Students of the programme have the opportunity to enhance their knowledge by attending guest lectures organised by Թ and delivered by Latvian and foreign business leaders. Master’s thesis

Any student of the master’s programme who has completed at least one year of study can participate in the Erasmus+ exchange programme.
A student can go to study at one of Թ’s partner universities. The duration of study mobility is 2–12 months.
The student does not have to pay for the period spent in the study and internship exchange programme abroad; the tuition fee is covered by the partner university, but the student continues to pay the Թ tuition fee. For the period spent abroad during mobility, the student is awarded an Erasmus+ scholarship to cover the costs of transport and accommodation.

This is the only master’s programme in Latvia that prepares data (including Big Data) professionals to work in companies and organisations. These are full-time studies that take place in the evenings in the main building of Թ, located at 3 Meža Street. These are lectures with a wide range of educational content in the field of economics, related to business processes, the use of company and organisation data in information systems, forecasting modelling, risk management, statistical analysis and business data processing.
The purpose of the study programme is to train students to perform organisational data processing using SPSS and Power BI software packages, to perform data processing in relational databases using SQL and R language tools, to perform data processing in non-relational databases (NoSQL) using MapReduce approach and various tools of Hadoop eco-environment, as well as to apply machine learning methods in data processing using supervised and unsupervised machine learning algorithms, Python language, KNIME and other tools.

This Master’s level study programme is designed in accordance with the Latvian Project Management Professional Standard, international project management guidelines and development trends. During the programme, you will have the opportunity to take the IPMA Level D International Project Manager Certificate, which is included in the tuition fee. Project management is one of the most sought-after professions in the world, as it combines structured management skills that can be acquired in this study programme: project planning, cost management, quality management, project team management, communication management, team management, change and risk management, etc.

One of the popular approaches that organisations want to explore is Agile, which is why this programme has a separate course of study and separate topics in other courses of study on understanding, applying and combining this approach with others.

This master’s programme trains professionals with supervisor qualifications who provide a supervision service – a targeted consultative and educational support provided in a professional context to an individual, group or organisation with the aim of improving professional competence and the quality of professional performance (a supervisor is an independent consultant, invited from the organisation, who can objectively assess a situation from the outside without being the part of the organisation, thus maintaining an objective perspective on various complex situations). During the studies, the student acquires the skills necessary for this position: initial assessment of the supervisee, formulation of supervision goals and tasks, conducting supervision in accordance with problem-solving, counselling and adult education methods, evaluation of the supervision process development, etc.

Full-time studies take place every other Friday evening, as well as on Saturdays and Sundays. Part-time studies take place every other Friday evening and online on Saturdays, as well as once a month on Friday evenings, while practical classes take place on Saturdays and Sundays in person. This is the first double degree programme in Latvia, implemented by Թ together with the Faculty of Medicine of Riga Stradiņš University (RSU), and the only one of its kind in Latvia and the Baltics. Fundamentals of Economics

For students with no prior knowledge of economics only (introductory course in distance learning format; additional contract required).

Graduates can work in leading administrative positions in health care institutions, health care management institutions, health insurance institutions and municipalities.

After graduation, a student can continue education in the doctoral programme “Business Management”.

Any student of the master’s programme who has completed at least one year of study can participate in the Erasmus+ exchange programme.
A student can go to study at one of Թ’s partner universities. The duration of study mobility is 2–12 months.
The student does not have to pay for the period spent in the study and internship exchange programme abroad; the tuition fee is covered by the partner university, but the student continues to pay the Թ tuition fee. For the period spent abroad during mobility, the student is awarded an Erasmus+ scholarship to cover the costs of transport and accommodation.
* Erasmus+ internship mobility provides that a student can undergo an internship in one of the companies of interest in one of the Erasmus+ programme countries. For this internship period, the student receives an Erasmus+ scholarship. The duration of internship mobility is 2–12 months.

The master’s programme implemented by Թ is the only sports management programme in the Baltic states. This modern master’s programme prepares competitive managers for the sports industry. Graduates will receive comprehensive knowledge from industry professionals about processes important in sports management, such as risk, marketing, financial and human resource management in sports, strategic management and leadership, as well as safety in sports facilities, sports in the digital world and many other important professional issues related to sports management.  The study programme includes many practical exercises, case studies and real-life examples. 

The programme has been developed in consultation and cooperation with representatives of employers – the Latvian Olympic Committee, various sports associations and federations, as well as with related study programmes at foreign universities. Upon successful completion of the programme requirements and defence of the master’s thesis, graduates are awarded a professional master’s degree in sports management and the qualification “Organisation Manager”.

These are full-time studies. The lectures are delivered by academic staff members with experience in both teaching (including at foreign universities) and international research, as well as guest lecturers and academics whose main work is related to strategy development, decision-making and decision implementation in sports federations and institutions. Within the framework of studies, the student develops his/her own scientific research work, as well as participates in research projects developed by the Latvian Science Council, Թ and the Faculty of Business and Economics. The programme also includes a professional internship, which allows a student to apply what he/she has learned during its studies in real life and which can be an important step in the future career in the health sector.

The main aim of the programme is to provide Թ architecture students with a full cycle of training in accordance with the Bologna Process (meeting the requirements of the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area), enabling them to fully enter the Latvian and European professional labour market after graduation. The programme offers the chance to additionally learn the specialisation “Landscape Architecture and Urbanism” (MALAUR). Along with the professional master’s degree, graduates also obtain the professional qualification “Architect” with the possibility to apply for a certificate in accordance with the rules of certification of architects in the Republic of Latvia.

FAD is a member of the European Association for Architectural Education EAAE from 2022.

The studies take place in the evenings in the Architecture and Media Centre H2O6, located at 4 Durbes Street, which also houses a design and model workshop. The specialisation “Landscape Architecture and Urbanism” (MALAUR) is implemented within a previously developed module system, allowing interested students to replace part of the basic courses with specialisation courses. The courses of the programme, each semester’s practice in the field of landscape architecture and 3 outdoor design workshops are aimed at in-depth study of landscape architecture and urban planning.

With the highest level of professional training in architecture and urban planning, architectural theory and the latest technologies in the field, the graduate is prepared to work as an architect and urban planner in architect offices (including international ones), as well as in state or municipal institutions responsible for buildings, spatial planning, and human settlement development, such as the city construction board.

Any student of the master’s programme who has completed at least one year of study can participate in the Erasmus+ exchange programme.
A student can study for 1 or 2 semesters at one of Թ’s partner universities. The duration of study mobility is 2–12 months.
